News! Employment And Skills Activity In Derbyshire

Do you provide employment and skills advice, support or information to your local community?

You could be a housing association providing advice to tenants, a mental health service or small charity providing a general drop in service where employment and skills advice is given. You could be working from a village hall, your local Community Centre, a school or event - whatever the size of your organisation we want to hear from you!

A mapping exercise is now underway to gauge the employment and skills provision available across Derbyshire. This opened on the 6 February and will be closing on 28 February, 2018.

The purpose of the mapping is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the provision available at all levels across Derbyshire. This provision will be used to develop a platform that will sit under Derbyshire County Council's Wellness Hubs and will be used to showcase provision on Derbyshire County Council's Website.

This is an exercise being run in parallel with mapping that is taking place across the rest of D2N2 (Derby City, Derbyshire, Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire) and is a questionnaire that has been developed by Nottinghamshire County Council for all Local authorities to use in order to benchmark the same provision.

If your organisation runs any employment and skills provision, whether this is core funded projects, temporary/time-limited projects or support; please could you complete the follwowing questionnaire.

You will need to complete a seperate questionnaire to tell us about each service/project that you run.

Please forward this on to any other colleagues, departments and organisations that deliver employment and skills support for different client/cohort groups to ensure the most comprehensive of mapping is completed. We note the difficulties in mapping exercises - with support provision being at risk of being out-of-date a few months down the line - however, we want to try to use this opportunity to gain a central understanding for the benefit of future monitoring and development of a central platform and 'one-stop-shop' for access to provision.

If you have any questions, or would need any help completing this questionnaire, please do not hesitate to contact me;
